ABOUT AUTHORS

Poet Martina Reisz Newberry states succinctly... "My poems call people to see more, see further, be more and be better. I write about expectations and our ability to fulfill them or fail to do the same."

The award winning author of "After the Earthquake: Poems 1996-2006" reluctantly admits to being a sentimental romantic with words that urge men and women to dance out their lives, not drag through them; To sing out their anger, lust and sensuality, not hide these things under lowered eyelids.

Newberry resides in Palm Springs, CA, with videographer husband, Brian, and confesses both are kept in line by a gigantic orange cat named Gato.
